OSKA+MURPH was created by Heidi, a Dermal Therapist and passionate problem solver. Inspired by her love for helping others and her own experiences with sensitive skin, she designed the lockets as a stylish and functional way to enjoy scents without irritation. But it grew to be so much more. Named after her beloved pets, Oscar and Murphy, OSKA+MURPH reflects Heidi’s commitment to wellness, creativity, and meaningful solutions.

Using your OSKA+MURPH locket is easy:

Select a wooden biscuit insert and place it in a bowl.

Choose your favorite scent, add a drop of oil, or spray it onto the insert.

Allow the scent to soak in, then use tweezers to place the insert into the locket.

Wipe away any excess to avoid damage, close the locket, and wear it as a necklace.

To refresh the scent, always remove the biscuit from the locket before topping up. Enjoy the subtle fragrance by gently bringing the locket to your nose — it’s a personal and discreet experience made just for you.

Yes, the wooden biscuit inserts are essential for using your OSKA+MURPH locket. They act as the scent holder, allowing you to add essential oils, perfumes, or other fragrances. The inserts absorb and slowly release the scent, providing a subtle and personal aromatherapy experience. They also prevent the scent or oil from coming into contact with your skin, ensuring the locket is safe for sensitive skin when used as suggested. Without the inserts, the locket won't be able to hold or diffuse your chosen fragrance, but can still be worn just as a beautiful necklace.

A personal diffuser is a discreet, wearable way to enjoy your favorite scents wherever you go. Unlike traditional diffusers, which are stationary, the OSKA+MURPH locket allows you to carry your essential oils, perfumes, or other fragrances close to you throughout your day. It’s personal because the scent stays between you and the locket, creating a subtle, private moment of calm or focus, without being overpowering to others.

While we strive to support local businesses and source materials in Australia wherever possible, we were unable to find an Australian manufacturer for our lockets. As a result, our lockets are made by a trusted jewelry manufacturer in China, known for their high standards of quality and craftsmanship. We ensure that all our pieces are made with responsibly sourced materials, like Sterling Silver, to bring you beautifully designed, ethical products.

At this stage, we’re only shipping within Australia, but we’re working on expanding and hope to offer international shipping soon!

We really hope you don’t need to return your locket but if it’s faulty please reach out to enquiries@oskaandmurph.com so we can help sort it for you.

What we return for - if your locket is faulty or damaged you have 30 days from receiving it to contact us for return. We will replace your locket for you.

What we don’t return for - wear and tear, fine scratches or damage from water, oils and fragrances, tarnishing, if your chosen scent doesn’t last as long as you hoped, or doesn’t work in your locket. There are no returns for Perfectly Imperfect Lockets.

The LONG Version

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). We also do not accept returns because your chosen scent is not strong enough or doesn't work in your locket, for damage sustained through wear and tear, including tarnishing and fine scratches. Follow the care instructions to preserve your jewellery. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Returns for change of mind are at the purchasers expense and must be in original, unused condition and returned in original packaging. Please make sure your locket remains wrapped in cling wrap to avoid scratching during transport.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

At OSKA+MURPH, your privacy matters. We only collect information needed to process your orders, support your shopping experience, and send you updates (if you’ve subscribed). This includes your name, contact details, and payment information.
